I recently found the two cutest lightweight, summer denim shirt dresses very unexpectedly on Amazon.
Although they are super cute, I was a little concerned how heavy they might be for summer. The description was clear about the fabrics being lightweight and breathable, so I thought I would give them a try. If they didn’t work out, it’s so easy to return items to Amazon, so why not? When my package arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at just how lightweight and soft the fabrics are! I love the look of denim dresses, though I don’t tend to love the feel. Stiff is the word that comes to mind. These denim shirt dresses really do feel light and airy, and they totally work for summer. Both dresses comes in five different denim look washes.

Short Sleeved Denim Shirt Dress
I love the longer, shirt-tail hem on this dress. It’s got buttons up the front and a tie waist. It’s made with Lyocell, which is a naturally breathable fabric that drapes beautifully. The short sleeves have a folded up cuff, an intentional detail which elevates the dress. The dress also has pockets, which I don’t recommend using, though handy for when you’ve got to put your phone down for a second and don’t want to lose it.
Rolled Sleeve Denim Shirt Dress
The elegance of this dress is evident. It really does hang nicely on. It also has a shirt-tail hem, with buttons at the top of the dress for easy on and off. It’s got button cuffs and a center box pleat at the back, which adds a little style element. This dress is made of Tencel, which is also a naturally breathable fabric that skims over the body and flatters all shapes and sizes.
