Mansur Gavriel
The Cult Classic Bucket Bag
If you have not heard of Mansur Gavriel, I am excited to introduce you to the high-quality handbag, shoe, and accessory brand. Mansur Gavriel’s handbags are a modern minimalist’s dream come true. Based in New York City, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel launched the company in 2012. The brand has been a favorite since introducing it’s Italian-made women’s handbags, in particular it’s cult favorite, the bucket bag. Mansur Gavriel was awarded the prestigious CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year Award in 2016. At that time, it was almost impossible to track a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag down! With expanded production of the brand’s original style, and a wider assortment of bags to choose from, it is now possible to collect Mansur Gavriel bags, like I do! The colors and textures are delicious and dreamy, with a richness that is unique to each color shade. With simple styles featuring stand out details like drawstrings, embossed croc, and pleats, you just might decide you want to collect these modern minimalist designs too!
In this post, you can see the baby bucket bag in the shade Rosa.
The Wave Bag
The white bag in this post is the “Wave” bag, and by the time of this writing, had sold out. It also came in black and brown. If I hear of it coming back into stock, I will be sure to update this post. In the meantime, it might be possible to find it on a preloved designer website. I love the unique and simple lines of this structured bag. What is also nice about Mansur Gavriel’s bags is that they easily wipe clean.
Mansur Gavriel: Men’s Accessories & Women’s Ready to Wear
MG also offers additional accessories, like shoes and small leather goods, such as men’s wallets, also with a modern minimalist’s esthetic.
In Spring 2017, the brand also started offering women’s ready to wear. True to the brand’s esthetics, the pieces are well tailored and contain simple, yet refined lines. The attention to detail is obvious from looking at the clothes, even online. I’ve got my eye on this white cotton shirtdress, and this narrow cashmere buttonless coat. As is always the challenge with Mansur Gavriel’s rich tones, it’s a tough choice to decide which color. I’m caught between the camel or the pink blush coat!
Mansur Gavriel handbags and accessories are a modern minimalist’s dream come true. I feel confident the label’s clean lines and rich color tones will also be appealing and classically in style.
