My Favorite Clean Beauty Products From Beautycounter

I love trying new beauty products. It’s an addiction I can’t see to kick, nor do I want to! The idea of using products that not only deliver fantastic results, though are also formulated with clean ingredients, has at times seemed like an elusive concept. While I find it difficult to be completely loyal to just one brand, there are some clean beauty products in the Beautycounter line that are non-negotiable for me and my family. We consistently purchase them over and over again. My Top 6 Clean Beauty Products from Beautycounter

Counter + Charcoal Facial Mask

This mask does everything it says it does and more. If you follow me on social media, you may have seen the Counter+ Charcoal Facial Mask IGTV video I posted sharing my skin without makeup before using the mask, and after using the mask. The evidence is clear, my skin looks so toned and lifted, its astonishing. And not only that, my pores are purified and clean. In ten minutes this nutrient-rich kaolin clay mask with activated charcoal purifies and balances, absorbing excess oil and drawing out impurities. Exfoliation is enhanced by the addition of Salicylic and lactic acids. The minimized look of pores is what assists in giving such a firm and uplifted look to the skin. I use this mask 2-3 times a week.

Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer, SPF 20

Ahh, Dew Skin. This tinted moisturizer has it all, including SPF 20. A lightweight sheer moisturizer that evens skin tone and protects skin against sun damage, it also has good for you ingredients that help to reveal tighter skin through black currant seed oil, peony root extract, and vitamin C. Vitamin C in particular is a beloved ingredient in skincare for me, as it works to create more even and radiant skin tone over time. In case you were wondering what kind of sun protection the product offers, rest assured it is effective and coral reef safe with non-nano zinc oxide, an effective mineral sunscreen active.

The color swatch below is representative of the shade I wear, Light, previously No.2, though what I love about Beautycounter products is that they are formulated for a range of skin tones from light to dark. Dew Skin comes in six shades.

Color Define Brow Pencil

If I could only choose three makeup clean beauty products to use for the rest of my life, a good brow pencil would be included. Brows have the ability to change the shape of one’s face, and as we age, they can become sparse. After trying both Beautycounter’s Color Define Brow Pencil and Brilliant Brow Gel, the pencil is clearly the winner for me. I tend to find brow gels a little heavier, and found the brow gel to be a little too heavy for my thinning brows. If you have thick and lucious brows, it would be a good fit for you! Or maybe then you don’t need any assistance with your brows, lucky girl! For the rest of us, the Color Define Brow Pencil has an easy glide pencil that fills and shapes brows. The pencil comes in Light, Medium, and Dark shades. I use the Dark, and then use the spool brush at the end of the product, running it up and over my brows to blend the color in and down.

Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30

Now we start to get into the sunscreens and this is a big category for me. Sunscreens have historically been known to have health questionable ingredients, and environmental studies have shown that coral reefs are being damaged in tourist heavy, tropical locations due to sunscreen contaminating the water. No worries about any of it with the Countersun line. Another Allure Magazine Best of Beauty Winner, in 2018, the Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is up to 40 minutes water resistant and is formulated with non-nano zinc and California Poppy. It has a nourishing formula that provides an effective shield from UVA and UVB light.

Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Stick, SPF 30

I love this stick sunscreen, particularly for the face, and especially for my kid’s faces. They will actually stand there and allow me to apply this 80 minute water resistant stick to their faces, ears, and necks, and then off they go! This sunscreen stick contains cocoa seed butter to provide the “glide” and also hydration. The rest of the ingredients are also simple, non-nano zinc and California Poppy to effectively shield against UVA and UVB rays. This super convenient stick can be thrown in a purse for 24/7, no mess, access to sun protection.

Lip Gloss

These sheer, easy swipe on lip glosses come in nine shades. They go on smooth with no stickiness, and have a unique tear-shaped applicator. They also smell great, with a clean vanilla flavor. They have a natural look, and natural shine, without the goopy feeling. The one shown here is Blush Shimmer, one my favorites, for its ability to enhance what is already there.
