Fall Boots Roundup
It’s one of the best times of the year, time to buy new boots! I’ve rounded up an assortment of boot trends that will refresh your shoe wardrobe, yet also be favorites in your closet for years to come. There are many things I like about Thursday boots. They give a nod to the latest trends while sticking with a cool, casual vibe, they offer high quality boots for reasonable prices, and they are super comfortable. I’ve owned half a dozen pairs of Thursday boots over the past year and every single one of them has been really comfortable. You’ll read about just how comfortable in the next section. I made the mistake of not wearing sneakers on a day that I was on my feet for hours, though thankfully I was wearing a pair of lug sole Thursday boots and I was not worse for wear.
I have been willing to suffer for fashion in my time, though if it’s not necessary, why do it? Thursday boots always keep my feet happy.
Everyone can use a pair of boots like the Legend boot in their closet. The lug soles make these boots as practical as they are stylish. I love the matte leather of the upper portion. The heel height is 1.5 inches. Although they come in a range of five colors, the matte is something unexpected, and is takes the standard look of the book to a much more stylish level. I stood in a studio for over ten hours in these boots on a cement floor for a hand modeling job in these boots. While I wouldn’t recommend doing that, yikes, I will say that these boots were pretty comfortable for the duration with their shock absorbing soles. I’ll also mention that they were new, and they didn’t rub anywhere or pinch my feet. Thursday boots tend to be a little roomier anyways, and that’s part of why they are so comfortable.
White boots are a major trend this fall as we rebel against the times. White shoes after Labor Day is a thing of the past. These Heartbreaker boots are perfect at walking the line between sexy and understated with the leather shaft that is longer than usual at 5.75 inches. Check out the 3″ triangle shaped heel! So good! The bottoms are lined with an anti-slip base, and the upper is pebbled leather. They also come in black, though the moment I saw these boots, there was no doubt in my mind, I MUST own them in white. No questions asked.
Boots that look as if they are ready to help scale a mountain caught some steam this year. In years past the look has been more combat boot versus hiking boot. This year everyone looks they are heading to the mountains. These Captain boots give a nod to the hiking boot trend, though also keep it classic for years to come. I’m wearing the Tobacco colored boots, though they come in an amazing variety of 12 shades! With a corkbed insole that molds to your feet, anti-slip and shock absorbing soles, kind of thinking these boots really could be made for hiking. If you decide to try it, let me know! In the meantime, I’ll be kicking back feeling good in my stylish lace up Captain boots.
The Duchess boot comes in a range of colors, in addition to being available in leather and suede construction. Like all Thursday boots, they are comprised of antislip and shock absorbing technologies that allow for peak performance and comfort. And they’re just so cute! I loved this rich brown tone, the color I selected is Black Coffee, which as you can see is a dark, deep brown. What I love about the combo of the color and the leather finish is the rich shine. It reminds me of the color of a saddle. As we are a family of horse lovers, let me tell you, there is nothing that looks more lux than a saddle that is buffed and cleaned to a shine. These boots reminded me of that!
