This post on the perfect fall transition outfit is c/o Nakturnal.
Whether you’re on Team Summer or Fall as your favorite season, there is always that transitional time in between where one can dress for either season and feel good about it, no matter the weather. I’ve found the perfect outfit that will transition you from summer to fall, and dare I say, even beyond. This fall transition outfit in fact works for ALL seasons, and pieces can even be deconstructed to make up endless outfits.
Best of all, this outfit costs under $100 and that includes shoes. These four items might be some of your most versatile pieces. First, the entire look, and then I’ll break down each piece. Sound good?
This has become one of my favorite go-to outfits as each piece flatters and looks much more expensive than they really are. Each piece comes in a range of colors, so if you’re anything like me, you might find yourself going back to pick up items in additional colors. It’s nice to have options! The best thing about this outfit, and there are so many good things about it, is that it’s so comfy it’s almost like wearing loungewear. Imagine your sense of satisfaction when you arrive looking chic, and effortlessly pulled together in this outfit, yet you’re cruising along in comfort as if you’re wearing your favorite joggers! And if you’re not a heels kind of girl, a pair of black loafers or mules would look just fine.
As far as accessories go, I’m wearing an inexpensive chunky necklace I’ve had for ages, though lately I’ve been into gold jewelry Gold earrings, necklaces, and rings would also work well with this outfit.
This tank top is such a classic piece and is the piece of the transitional outfit puzzle that adds a little touch of fancy so you can wear this outfit to dressier occasions. I have this top in the white as well, and appreciate the fact the straps at the back are adjustable. It also has a t-strap set up, so there is plenty of support, whether you want to wear it to a more formal event under a cardigan, or stand alone on date night with a little more skin. And then of course, there is it’s use as a camisole. You can always use one of those, right?
This sweet, lightweight sweater layers over the cami, providing coverage, and depending on the season, warmth! It’s slim fitting, with a cropped, button down look. It fits true to size, if you want a slightly looser look, I suggest going up a size, as it’s fit is as a cropped sweater. Take a look at the sizing chart that’s offered. This sweater is so pretty, with lace trim around the neck and flared cuffs on the sleeves. It’s also got ribbed detailing, and so inexpensive, you may also want to pick it up in the black. I’ve worn this sweater as a stand alone top with a pair of jeans and a great belt. Goes without saying it would look good layered over a dress as well.
These inexpensive, suede-look shoes have an elegant, classy look with a 4.3 inch heel. There is a velcro closure that is hidden behind the bow, making the strap comfortable and sturdy. I found these shoes fit true to size, and they come in a rainbow of colors. If heels aren’t your thing, consider a pair of black loafers or sandals. Something simple should finish the look off just fine.
How many outfits do you think you could create out of these four pieces? The options are endless!
