It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is a few short days away! The time between Halloween and Thanksgiving just flew by. It feels like I blinked, what about you? This year’s Thanksgiving celebrations are looking different and many people will be missing friends and family. For that reason, a simple, clean approach to Thanksgiving tablescape decor is what many people are aiming for.
To help make things easier this year, I partnered with my friend and fellow blogger Jessie-Sierra Ross, award-winning creator of Straight to the Hips, Baby to create a simple, yet beautiful Thanksgiving tablescape. Jessie excels in home cooking and entertaining, and I’ll often turn to her blog for related content. If I may suggest, check out one of her recent posts on how to quickly prepare sourdough stuffing with sausage and cranberry. It looks amazing and will be featured on our Thanksgiving table this year. I’d also like to thank Jessie’s husband Jon for taking the gorgeous photos I’m about to share. Jessie and Jon are such dear friends. They are also a husband and wife operation, with Jessie creating recipes, and Jon photographing her divine creations.

Thanksgiving Tablescape
Color and Tone
We kept the colors light and bright for our tablescape. The food will be the star of the show! As you can see from the “nibbly appetizers” food adds color and vibrancy to the table. The neutral colors are complimentary of nature, which is fitting for a fall table, while the pieces themselves, the table mats, the silver candlestick holders, the linens, are classic items. They don’t compete with the food or the flowers.
Flowers
Speaking of the flowers, have the floral arrangements on our table caught your eye? Flowers are a great way to add color and texture to a table. I’m proud to say that Jessie and I arranged these gorgeous bouquets ourselves during a free Instagram Live floral arranging class we offered. I learned so much about at home floral arranging, and found it to be a very relaxing experience. You can view the class via Jessie’s Instagram @straighttothehipsbaby Check it out, we had a blast!
The Little Details
The little details on this tablescape is what makes it interesting. The hemp rope placemats add texture. The bits of fruit scattered around the table add a surprise while sprinkling in color. The shine of the silverware adds some sparkle, while the blue runner in the center of table adds a centering and soothing splash of color.
What does your Thanksgiving tablescape look like this year? Do you have any themes for your Thanksgiving table?
