The Wonders of Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Have you heard about the wonders of tea tree oil, specifically for acne? If you have never used tea tree oil before, consider trying the essential oil. It literally can act like an eraser for small acne bumps.

Fresh Faced Morning

I’ve gone to bed with a zit and woke up with it either completely gone, or greatly reduced in size. How? The wonders of tea tree oil. Using a q-tip and a bottle of pure tree tea oil, I’ve fully saturated the spot and overnight, like magic, I’ve woken up to a clearer complexion. We like the NOW brand of tea tree oil, as its 100% pure. Tree tea oil is known for antiseptic properties, meaning it contains chemicals that give bacteria and fungi a hard time!

Tea Tree Oil Beauty Products

Some people find the smell of tea tree oil to be pungent, and it is strong. I maintain nothing compares to the straight oil dapped on skin to clear a blemish. There are effective and luxurious beauty products out there that also use the power of tea tree oil. I love a good toner, and was pleased to find Belief Problem Solution Toner contains not only tea tree oil to help disinfect skin, though it also contains white willow bark extract, which is known to help create a more even skin tone and complexion.

Another product that is good for those with acne or oily complexions is Biossance Squalane + Tea Tree Cleansing Gel. It cleanses pores to help balance skin and reduces excess surface oil.

A Cleaner, Healthier Home

If you need an additional reason to consider adding a bottle of tea tree oil to your product arsenal, it can be used to make a non-toxic, yet still effective, cleaning solution. It’s especially great for using in the kitchen with young children around, as we don’t have to worry about toxic chemical residues left on surfaces our kids might touch. You know what happens to little kid’s hands, they eventually end up in the mouth! We love to mix half parts water and white vinegar with about 15 drops of tea tree oil. If you want, you can layer on an additional essential oil in lavender, orange, or lemon.

There are so many uses for tea tree oil. These are my favorites. What do you use tea tree oil for?
