Bralettes are one of the wardrobe items I can’t live without. When I was younger, it was all about the push up bra. Now, the comfort and ease of bralettes is something that I don’t take for granted. I wear one whenever it makes sense to. And it seems I’m not the only one. With so many pretty styles that are meant to be functional, bralettes are being manufactured by a variety of retailers, not just those that carry underwear and lingerie.
Bralettes are Fun and Flirty
Isn’t that what underwear is supposed to be? Since having my first baby, I’ll admit I’ve walked a fine line, ok, a chasm, between the fun bra and panty sets I used to wear, and the world of functional undergarments. It’s not always been pretty. Ask my husband. As women have increasingly demanded comfortable yet stylish clothing, enter the world of pretty bralettes. They have become a fashion item.
Bralettes Are An Accessory
Bralettes are not just for under baggy old t-shirts once you’re home for the day. They can be used to add a pop of color under the strap of a tank top, or to offer a different texture that makes an outfit more alluring. I’ve always been a fan of the retail store Free People. It has recently come to my attention that they offer numerous styles of bralettes. I’m talking at least a dozen, even more. I’ve had a lot of fun with different styles and colors, even types, such as racerback and strapless. There is a bralette for every style of shirt, and in different levels of support.
