A Back to School Shopping Tradition – A Mother Daughter Memory

Do you remember going back to school shopping as a kid? My Mom always made the start of a new school year feel special with our back to school shopping tradition. We would plan a day to go shopping and have lunch, just the two of us. I have such wonderful memories of going back to school shopping with my Mom, that I couldn’t wait until my daughter was old enough to begin the same tradition.

Back to School Shopping Made Easy

This year my daughter started kindergarten, and we headed to our nearby Target for some back to school shopping. Target is the first place I thought of for notebooks, crayons, and pencils. As you can imaging, there are numerous places I shop for my daughter’s clothes, and many of them are online. Yet every time I go into Target, I’m always more impressed by the kid’s clothing than I was the last time I visited.

All the Trends for Back to School

For our back to school shopping tradition, Target had us covered with lots of fall trends, leopard print, faux sheepskin denim jackets, hipster girl floral dresses. I don’t need to tell you that all the back to school basics were also covered. Leggings, button ups, fresh socks and underwear. Here are some of our favorite picks, below, from our back to school shopping spree. I felt we received a lot of value for our money, and my daughter and I were both excited by the several bags of clothes we left the store with. Kids are hard on their clothes, and dropping a ton of cash on trendy styles wouldn’t have made sense.
